It is a primary source because it is directly from the time not made by people nowadays. I is an unique document because it has a religious purpose to the drawing. Sometimes in the manuscript, it shows bible stories and drawings of saints. It also features a number of examples of their everyday lives and specific details. It is not the only drawing that has everyday lives of the middle ages shown but it has a variety of different examples that are even portrayed in our lives today
